For people who live in Central City Concern housing, or who are engaged with other program areas, the Employment Access Center is available to help chart a path to self-sufficiency through employment and life as skilled workers, filling the needs of local businesses. The Employment Access Center is a one-stop employment resource center with multiple resources for job seekers with access to computers, the internet, tutorials, personal voicemail, copier, telephone and fax services. Some clients may be eligible for more intensive assistance through our Supported Employment programs.
Staff takes a one-on-one approach, designing services to address each person’s needs and overcome barriers to employment. Individuals develop a comprehensive plan that can lead them to permanent and competitive employment. Clients may be able to access training dollars to develop new skills that lead to career advancement and livable wage jobs.
To access services at the Employment Access Center, clients need a referral from a Central City Concern provider, such as a case manager or other program staff person, and must attend an orientation. Orientations are conducted twice a week for your convenience. You can find out more about a referral and our orientation times by calling 503-226-7387. Please bring your referral when you attend orientation.
