Quick & Easy Ways to Support CCC during the Holidays

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

For many of us, the holiday season kicks off an especially busy time filled with planning, traveling, and shopping. In anticipation, some of us may even scour websites and magazines and blogs for tips on how to complete all our to-dos more efficiently and less painfully.

On top of all that, lots of us want to continue to support our favorite nonprofits in spite of the chaos. Thankfully, there are numerous ways to support Central City Concern that won’t add much, if anything, to your to-do list. In fact, you can raise funds for CCC by doing things you were going to do anyway! Here are some ideas that you, your family, and your friends can take part in to make holiday giving super easy.

What you plan to do: Go to a tree farm for your Christmas tree; purchase neat, locally made holiday gifts
How you can support CCC: Take your family to Frog Pond Farms!

Frog Pond Farms is a tree farm in Wilsonville that offers great family friendly activities like a petting zoo (camels, llamas, alpacas, goats, rabbits, and more!), free coffee/cocoa/cider, a bonfire, and a Santa room. They also offer many items for sale, including llama and alpaca wool items, candles, holiday décor, and Christmas trees.

Starting this Friday, November 28 (the day after Thanksgiving), the farm is generously donating 10% of all sales made to Central City Concern when a special flyer is presented at the time of purchase. That flyer can be downloaded here: bit.ly/FrogPondCCC. If you forget the flyer, simply tell the person at checkout that you are there to support Central City Concern.

The farm is located at 2995 SW Advance Rd., Wilsonville, OR 97070. They are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More information can be found at their website: https://www.facebook.com/thefrogpondfarm
