Celebrating Central City Concern's Volunteers!

Monday, April 13, 2015

This week is National Volunteer Week! We have a saying at Central City Concern about our volunteers: they help us do more and they help us do better. As the number and diversity of our volunteers have increased steadily over the past few years, this belief becomes more and more true. Though we have begun to feature volunteers each month through our Monthly Volunteer Spotlight, we're grateful for the opportunity to call attention to the greater volunteer efforts across CCC programs.

On the blog this week, we'll be taking a look at the impact and significance of volunteers through the lens of a single CCC program site: the Living Room program, located in our Old Town Recovery Center. We'll feature interviews with several volunteers who give their time to the Living Room, clients who have gotten to know the volunteers, and the staff members who oversee the Living Room. CCC's Volunteer Coordinator will also share his thoughts about our magnificent volunteers.

In the meantime, take a look at some of the numbers that show how much our volunteers rock!
